2 critical things: the window sill expands a little too much as it comes closer to the foreground, and seems to almost curve. it is a cool effect but doesn't seem to go with the rest of hte painting. i didnt' get the impression that it was surrealism (although it is evan). secondly, where are the earrings?!?!


thirdly, wicked job on this one. his face looks real and i've never been able to draw curly hair, nonetheless paint it. and you did a phabulous job with it and it didnt' even look that difficult

he gave me a different picture to work from that was less dark so I'd been adding so many layers of white that I painted over it.

I see the curving and that'll be easy to fix but I disagree that it's getting too big as it gets closer. And it'll match more of the rest of the painting. I've been doing it a little separate so far from the rest of it and it has more colour than anywhere else and that's probabaly the biggest thing that makes it stand aside from the rest. I still haven't continued it to the right side after that first window, too.
The earring thing will be in it- I used to be using a picture that had barely any contrast and I was having a real hard time but then he gave me a new one and so I've been doing lots of layers of white so it sorta got painted over. It'll be back
